Looking for the Manor House
In the 1880 1st edition OS map, there is a tantilising bit of text in the grounds of Crowcombe court that simply says "Site of Manor House". Could this be the site of the original Manor House, or a red herring based in heresay? That is what this dig was set up to answer.
